Is Botox Safe?

src=
Botox is a term derived from C. Botulism bacteria that exists in numerous settings, such as soil, forests, lakes, and intestinal tracts of fish and mammals. Botox are injections designed to paralyze or weaken muscles. When administered in small doses, they can treat numerous medical conditions and reduce skin wrinkles. The drug is of a protein nature and made from Botulinum toxin produced from the Botulinum Clostridium bacteria, a microorganism that causes botulism. Although a toxin, when used appropriately, it can reduce skin wrinkles. The Food and Drug Administration has approved Botox to treat several health concerns, such as excessive sweating, eyelid spasm, migraine, and bladder disorders. Naturally occurring botulinum spores and bacteria are generally harmless. However, they become dangerous when the spores change and their population increases.

Why Is It Safe?
• Even though botulinum toxin can be life-threatening, it is safe in small doses and is commonly used in Pure Laser Medspa in Michigan. For instance, only thirty-six cases of adverse effects linked to the cosmetic use of Botox have been reported to the FDA between 1989 and 2003.• According to researchers, cosmetic applications tend to have little therapeutic risks because doses are relatively smaller. • A study established that more adverse effects are associated with therapeutic, unlike cosmetic application. The side effects tend to be closely related to the underlying condition or increased dosage.
• Most side-effects are temporary and mild, and Botox is safe overall.
• Injections are likely to result in side effects when they do not adhere to FDA standards.

Risks
Patients may not resume their regular activities immediately after Botox injection. You are advised not to massage or rub the treated areas because it may spread the infection to other areas on your face. It may cause dropping in temporary weakness. Some of the complications and side effects of botulinum toxin include:
• Facial weakness
• Redness
• Nausea
• Headache
• Flu-like symptoms
• Bruising

Botox is not safe for breastfeeding or pregnant mother. Although Botox’s efficacy has been confirmed, mothers are advised not to expose infants and unborn to the risk associated with the injection.
